Hot Child in the CityEdit

by Rose Hattenbarger

These past few days have been completely unproductive. Because really, how on earth can anyone get anything done when it’s a bajillion degrees outside? I don’t even think I’m exaggerating. Luckily, the heat wave is now officially over and I can go back to being a normal person. Thank goodness. The worst part about the sweltering temperatures outside, besides all the sweating, was that I had just gotten Chew #21 in the mail. Rather than tearing open the package and beginning to read the newest issue of my favorite comic book, the heat made it far too hard to focus on anything that wasn’t sitting in front of a fan and eating ice cubes. Although now that it’s a cooler temperature, I can finally sit down and devour what is sure to be one of the best reads of 2011. I can’t wait!

The three most important things I learned during the heat wave:

1. Ice cream makes for a great dinner.

2. No matter how much you sweat there’s always someone else who’s sweating way more.

3. I am not cut out for Bikram Yoga.
